Guardian Pool Covers - A revolutionary pool cover industry product with a history and a mission.
The pool cover industry has changed over the past many years with new
advances in technology and engineering designs leading to many inventions of new
safety products each and every year to protect your children.
Removable pool
fencing will play a significant role in swimming pool safety industry for
years to come.
Guardian Pool Fence Systems incorporated in January 1995 and entered the
pool cover industry shipping products to its dealer network only two months later.
Since January 1996, the Los Angeles, California based company has sold over
forty thousand of its patented, removable, self-closing and key-locking
pool gates while producing and shipping several hundred thousands of feet of
removable mesh pool fencing.
The U.S. Patent Office doesn't pass out patents easily. Guardian had to
demonstrate the uniqueness and reliability of this
safe pool cover industry gate. Our patent was granted in September
1997. Guardian Pool Fences invented the ORIGINAL
REMOVABLE self closing gate on the pool cover industry. Ten years later this
pool gate still has
no equal in the pool cover industry.
No other product made by a competitor available on the market today offers the
same level of safety, versatility,
practicality and protection that is found in Guardian Pool Fence systems.
"Homeowners love the look of their
custom pool cover designs -- and that they’re still in total control of their
backyards," Guardian's founder Steve Sadinsky says.
The dealer network built by Guardian Pool Fence Systems extends across the United States and into
Canada, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and the European Union, including France,
Spain, Portugal and England We have shipped this product as far away as Lebanon,
Jordan, Israel, Cyprus, Singapore and South Africa. Guardian and its
specially trained pool fencing dealers have done tens of thousands of
installations in the pool cover industry worldwide!
Meet Steve
Sadinsky
Steve Sadinsky, the
president and CEO of Guardian Pool Fence Systems, has been involved with
pool cover industry since 1988. Steve's wife was pregnant and the
couple had a swimming pool in the backyard. Their pool was only
5 feet from a door to their house. It wasn't long before he found himself facing the
same kinds of problems and concerns that his new customers deal with today.
Steve, a California licensed general and plumbing contractor in California, in
1988 started the search for a pool safety solution, even though he'd never
handled this sort of problem. The more he investigated, the more he realized
that his situation was far from simple.
An automatic pool cover would protect the pool, but it also would cover up about 40%
of their current deck space. Taking out the trash from the back door would be
awkward since it required Steve to walk OVER the pool cover!
Steve's other option was a wrought-iron pool fence to secure his pool. The
current electrical code required
metal pool fencing to be at least 5 feet from the pool's edge but he had only had 5
feet to the door! The pool fence would not protect the main entrance to the backyard,
nor would it allow enough yard space for their child to play.
When Steve discovered
removable pool fencing, it solved each and every problem. The pool fence
surrounded the pool completely at 25" from the edge, keeping his
child from getting near the water while still allowing plenty of room to use the
swimming pool and left the entire backyard for other use.
When taking out the trash Steve didn't have to touch the fence, so there were no
worries about leaving the fence open. No one had to touch the fence unless they
were going to use the pool -- PERIOD! That's as safe as you can make a swimming
pool!
Since that time, Steve and his dealers network have done tens of thousands of pool
safety fence installations in the pool cover industry around the world.
"The majority of these were specifically designed to provide security around
swimming pools," Steve says. "Occasionally, we are called on to protect
ravines, seawalls, canyons or tackle other special projects.
"We even installed a fence at a Sunday school to keep the toddlers away from the
older kids while their parents prayed in church!"
But, Steve insists, “Our main focus is
swimming pool protection for children -- and it always will be."
